Lost Coast’s Dragon Vineyard, Humboldt County, California
Brooding aromatics including hints of leather and flavors of dark fruit balance with the light tannin structure of this wine. A faint mesquite aroma is evident, and blends beautifully with the overall flavors. The dark red color from the intense grape skin provides a backdrop to the retained acidity of this grape transplanted from Italy to a remote region of California. Late to ripen in the coastal-influenced continental climate of the valley, this wine beautifully expresses the uniqueness of Humboldt County climate and soil. Very limited production with 156 bottles produced in our off-grid Humboldt County winery.
